Mid Month DT Reveals

Hello everyone I have finally had a chance to check in and update my blog.  This has been a crazy month for me.  So much going on in my personal life that I cant begin to explain.  But you didnt come here for that.  Today I have a few DT reveals for you (yes they are late because I just got back from a week long vacation) but better late than never right???

First up is this week's sketch over at LGS created by the lovely Jenessa.  I turned the sketch a bit for a different look.  Also please remember that LGS is starting their very own online magazine and are taking publications for it up until Oct 1st.  Its going to be a smash so make sure you get those submissions in!

Next up is my 3x3 layout over at Frosted Designs.  FD is revamped a bit to include adding a kit club as well as a store.  They have some great items so come check it out!  For this layout we has to:

Pick ANY 3 of these items and use them at least 3 times....

Arrows
Hearts
Stars
Shape:  Circles, Squares, Hexagons, Chevrons...etc

I went with stars, circles and hearts.  This is a layout of my son and granddaughter Amiyah.  I love these pictures of them!

Next up is the 123 Get Scrappy challenge where our board this week is this:

I had a time with these hexagons but love the end result.  I used tree(in the picture), rhinestones, and washi tape.

The current challenge over at About a Girl is Flowers, Flowers, Flowers, need I say more?  This is my beautiful niece Deja, I swear she needs to be a model!

The challenge at About A Boy is a sketch challenge.  The sketch is by none other than yours truly :-)

and last but not least is our Sweet challenge over at Use Your Words.  Again this layout is featuring my oldest granddaughter Amiyah.  I have been wanting to scrap this picture forever and finally got my chance!

Mid Month Design Team Reveals

Hello scrappy friends, its the middle of the month so we know what that means right?  New DT challenges and reveals!

First up is my DT reveal for About a Boy.  Our current challenge is Anything Goes.  You heard it right, anything goes so you can create your layout no holds barred!  The only criteria of course is your subject matter must be male.

I created a page using my AC papers and photos of me and the hubby.

Next Up is AAB's sister blog, About a Girl.  Our current challenge is White Space.  I hate white space layouts because it always appears there is something missing.  Some people are wonderful at creating white space layouts, I am not one of them, but I gave it a shot.  Here is a layout featuring my youngest granddaughter. 

And last but not least is the new challenge blog Use Your Words.  Our current word challenge is BELIEVE.  I recently obtained my Master's Degree in Criminal Justice which is my 3rd degree.  I am not bragging but I am proud and it just goes to show that you can achieve anything if you put in the work and BELIEVE!

August Design Team Reveal

Good morning all, its August 1st and that means reveal day for me on many of my teams!  First up is About a Girl (AAG).  Our August 1st challenge is to create a layout using one color, and that color must be the color in your photo.  I decided to use some AC papers and this great photo of my granddaughter.  Hope you like!

Next up is About a Boy.  We have a Back to School challenge going on over there.  The challenge is simply to create a layout using a school photo.  Easy right?  Well for this challenge I went waaaaaaayyyy back and scrapped one of my son's middle school photos.  He is nearly 24 now.  Where does the time go?  I tell you what, I miss the boy in this picture!

And last but certainly not least, my new challenge blog is Use Your Words.  This is where each challenge we give you ONE word and you must use it to create your layout.  The word has to be either in your title or journaling.  Our word for August 1 is moment and therefore my Beautiful Moments collection from Carta Bella was perfect for this layout of me and my other half:-).

July 1st, Design Team Reveals

Hey all, its Monday again and the 1st of the month so you know what that means?  LOTS of DT reveals!

Lets kick it off with Lets Get Sketchy's weekly reveal.  This is a layout out of my oldest granddaughter's upcoming Disney book.  I will be work on 3 of these really soon as we are taking the other 2 grandkids to Disney this Fall.  FP Its The Little Things collection is perfect for Disney!

Next up is About a Girl.  Our challenge is the word NEW.  My granddaughter lost her first tooth a few weeks ago and she is all grins........lol so here is her NEW smile.

And last but not least over at About a Boy our challenge is the colors Red, White and Blue.  So here is my grandson Nehemiah being as mischievous as always.

June 15 DT Reveals

Next up is About a Girl where our theme is bold colors and pattern papers.  For this layout I created a page using a photo of my niece.  I love this picture of her!

June 1st Design Team Reveals

Hiya everyone, happy Monday.  Today I have lots of wonderful DT reveals for you.  Lets start with Let's Get Sketchy!   We have a wonderful sketch up today at LGS from our talented team member Jenessa.  I flipped the sketch and used this beautiful line from Carta Bella showcasing both of my beautiful granddaughters in their Easter dresses this past Easter.

Next up is About a Boy, our June 1st challenge is :  Favorite summer or holiday activity.  For this challenge I scrapped a photo of my great nephew at his church dedication.  He was only a few months old at the time so he has not favorite activity yet lol but I need to finish his book so I had to work with what I had.

About a Boy has a "sister" blog called............you got it About a Girl.  Our June 1st challenge there is dollies.  I know some people dont like working with them but I love them!  For this layout I scrapped a photo of my niece Deja.  I was working on book for her graduation this week so this is one of the pages in the book.  She needs to be a model, she is so photogenic!

And last but not least is my Saturday DT reveal over at Frosted Designs where our theme is punches.  For this layout I used a photo of my oldest granddaughter Amiyah and some very old Echo Park papers.  I just wanted to get them out of my stash to make room for more!  LOL

Design Team Reveals

Happy Hump Day all!  Today is reveal day over at About a Boy and their "sister" site About a Girl.

For AAB we were to use the color white plus ONE other color.  I wanted to scrap this photo of my grandson so I decided to go with green and while.  The concept looked better in my head than it does on paper but you get the jest lol

Then over at AAG the theme is Sunbursts!  I love sunbursts they are so versatile.  I am working on an album for my niece so I decided to use a sunburst on one of her layouts.  I am pretty pleased with this one I suppose.......lol.  I am always so very critical of my work.  Anyway thanks for looking have a great day!

May 1st Design Team Reveals

Hello fellow scrappers, Bren here again with some more DT reveals!  Its May 1st so that means brand new challenges over at About a Boy and their sister site About a Girl.  I won't spoil the fun for you by telling you about the challenges, for that you will have to pop over and see!

For the challenge at AAB of course I did a layout featuring none other than Nehemiah, man does this  year old have lots of energy!  This is Nemo being a typical boy playing with everything in site, including objects not meant to be played with!

Over at AAG I created a layout featuring both my granddaughters.  Amiyah to the left and Jayla to the right. They are the apples of my eye.  TFL and have a great day!

About a Boy-Hoarders

Today is reveal day over at About a Boy, you know the blog that caters to the men in our life.  Our first challenge for the month of March is to use those products we have been hoarding for over a year!  I have been "saving" my EP Boys Life collection for ever!  LOL So I pulled that out to use on a layout of my grandson Nehemiah.  I love this photo of him, he actually posed for me, which he NEVER does, its like he is wanted by the FBI or somebody because every time the camera comes out he runs LOL

Oh Baby!

Time for another mid-month reveal. Today is reveal over at About a Boy.  You know the challenge blog dedicated to male layouts only?  I love it over there as it gives me a chance to focus more on my grandson and son's layouts.  Our mid-month challenge is "Oh Baby!"  The challenge is to create a layout using baby photos from the ages of 0 to 12 months.

I decided to do something a little more clean and simple this time.  This is my grandson Nehemiah, we call him "Nemo" for short.  He was about 6 months old in this photo.  Sorry about the lighting, it was raining quite a bit when I completed this layout.

About A Boy~Introducing Nehemiah

Toot Toot!

Hello everyone, I have some wonderful and exciting news this week.  I am Admin and DT of a great boys only challenge blog called About A Boy.  This challenge blog is dedicated to helping us scrap those men in our lives. Maybe now I will get my son and grandson's books finished!  

The challenges will post on the 1st and 15th of each month and they will be awesome!  We will have lots of wonderful prizes to give away each month but you cant win if you dont play!
